The UF-II is a new positive displacement flowmeter developed specifically to serve as the heart in loading facilities at oil product depots. Contained in the measuring chamber are a pair of rotors having special spiral gear teeth, the design of which is responsible for successfully eliminating pulsations in the flow stream. The results are exceptionally low vibration and noise levels and high metering accuracy even in low flowrate ranges.
(1) uniform rotor rotation,
(2) uniform flow rate of flow stream with no pulsation, and
(3) uniform rotational torque. No energy transfer takes place between a pair of rotors.
Because of the absence of slippage between the rotor gear teeth in mesh, it offers exceptionally long life.
Capabilities of producing a greater discharge per rotor revolution and of spinning at a comparatively higher R.P.M. than comparable rotor designs have made possible large volume measurements for its small size.

- Construction is simple with no pilot gears required.
- Smooth and uniform rotor rotation produces stable and precise pulse generation.
- Uniform rotation means low pressure loss across the meter.
- Can fit a wide variety of registers, pulse generators and other instruments compatible with other oval gear flowmeters.
